Default Whats the noise

I have a annoying noise coming from under the car when you take your foot off the clutch pedal. Its hard to explain buts it sounds like a rattle its quite loud. My mate reckons its the transfer box it does this after any sort of run out. It has got louder from when i first got the car is it anything to worry about? Is the transfer box about to give up?

probably the springs in the clutch plate, mine used to rattle, push the clutch and it goes. had a new clutch fitted cos the old one was slipping and no rattle at all now. all the springs in the old clutch were loose and rattling.

Yeah it goes when you dip the clutch. I have changed the release bearing so its not that. The clutch has been changed just before i bought it perhaps i should get a new one?

So if you sitting on the drive in neutral it rattles and chatters about, till you putt the clutch down?? You are stage III aint ya?? .... YUP that'll be the gearbox(or Transfer)

Go out give it a DAMN good hammering ESPECIALLY in third, then it will made the most awful noise you have ever heard and you will need to buy a new gearbox
