BULKHEAD BUSH ????
Does anyone know if there is a bush of some sort that sits in the bulkhead allowing the steering shaft/joint through ??
Just wiggled mine and it seems quite loose, wondered if that was making the steering knock on left/ right movements. (Rack, UJ, TRE all been changed!)
Thanks

there is a rubber and plastic bush/grommet in bulkhead, cheap as chips but ford wont list it under your vin... havwe a look at the images for the sierra on microcat whernyou go in... i would suggest the knocking would be the rack imo

Is it the same bush as the sierra ??
I'm going to Give Graham Goode a ring and get a replacement steering rack back under warranty. Such a pain as it then needs more fluid and tracking !!! I bet they won't pay for that !!

Hello mate , I had to search round for ages trying to find somewhere where i wouldn't rip my splitter off, in the end I found Hi Q up on Wragby Road, mainly because they have lifts which are sunk into the ground so you can drive on easily without catching anything, and you can watch your car !
I think they only do the standard wheel alignment (costs Ł30) where they track to the rear wheels. Ive always found that to be ok ??
I've always wanted to see if the 4 wheel alignment with electronic print out is worthwhile, but i don't think you can adjust the rear ?? on teh escort without shims so its probably not worth it - unless anyone knows different !!
