problem 1, fuel pump wasnt running so stripped it down fixed it "broken connection" now the abs and airbag warning lights stay on?
problem 2, when lights are on only half the speedo lights up but all other gauges are fine? anyone help please

 

You sure you havent fuse box problems.
mine started doing funny things like that. then one day it wouldent start it turned
out to be the fuse box burning up.

 

given up now buying a new fuse box on monday

 

my 95m plate esc cos is on its 3rd fuse box now, common problem on 'em i'm afraid. a new one will set you back just over a hundred quid, problems fixed

 

My speedo was only half lit up, when I took it apart I found that the little plug that connects to it wasnt on properly (really small n fiddly!) put it on and good as new, dials must be gas filled or sumat cos no bulbs, very trick!

 

All the MK5 escorts had fuse box problems. I had an xr3i 16v and that had 2 new fuse boxes. Apparently the rain water leaks through the seal on the windscreen causing it to drip onto the fuse box. I have a few Cossy ones spare if anyone needs 'em.

 

the connections break on the speedo where it pushes onto the pins 4 the power shit idea really...

 

Yeah sounds like fuse box. I think mine must be the only one still on the original fuse box. LOL

Mind you I huess I'm tempting fate now.
