does anyone know what covers the hole 4 the cd player on the escort cosworth that never had the cd option on it from new?Was it a blanking plate or was it a clip in compartment?I went to Ford 2day 2 ask....well i might as well have gone to sainsburys for all the help they gave me!!Does anyone have a spare one 4 sale?

This was a push in recess, with a finish similar to "felt" material, was not much use really as it would not hold anything. This was fitted at factory and was different to the usual flat plate blank that was applied to lesser models

what u can fit in there though that doesnt look out of place is one of those cd or cassette holders made by "fisher c box" - u know the ones that u press the button and the tape flys onto the back seat

i have in mine,not the felt type,but a flap type thingey i am sure i have seen them for sale in the autoleads section of stuff in halfords etc...

 

Ask the ford man for an item from the centre console of a MK3 fiesta...

 

What you need is the insert from a Granada Ghia. It is the felt finish one that SeanRS has mentioned. It's a perfect fit, just pushes in and clips into place.

Part No is 1632936. The price was £15.65 in 2004.

Its plastic but has a cloth material inside. Not sure what they are worth
