Can you tell anything about this chip/board? I think I'll soon find out how it works, when I plug it in.

 

what apart from it says on the chip stg3 4 greens and 3 bar 4 a 3dr, and its a p8 board

 

Why does it say 3dr? Does it still mean that it fits Escort P8 ecu?

 

wouldnt like 2 say m8 i would check it out b4 fitting tho as it mite not work ask who supplied it or somebody like like stu at msd better 2 be safe than sorry

 

that baord will only fit a P8, the other (l1,6,8) etc have different connectors, is a bit concerning thought at teh chip says 3dr - UNLESS it has coem from a 3dr P8 equipped car...

 

It doesn't work. The car won't even start. It seems that the chip could actually be from 3dr sierra cosworth. So now I need new chip to the Pectel board or just the hex-file of the Escort Cosworth chip. I can write it to the chip myself. If somebody has the hex-file of an Escort Cosworth chip, Please contact me soon.

 

Anyone? Please contact me if you have the program for the P8 "stage3" chip or similar. By the way, does the P8 ecu have the same eprom chip that L8/L6 ecu has?

I'm now running 465cc @ 3.8bar injectors (with very low pressure ~2bar), 3 bar map sensor and standard chip. Even tough it sound bit exotic it works quite good. Ofcourse I will change the chip as soon as I get one.

 

The Eprom chip is different i believe. Speak to stu he can do a chip that will plug straight in without the worry of the baby board. Or you can just speak to someone like PJ motorsport and i'm sure they will do just the chip that can plug into you baby board.
