accassionaly when i'm driving along a road my fuel light flicks on and off and the old fuel gauge moves about abit so i'm going to drop the tank soon and have a look inside, how does it come apart? how does it go back together with out leaking?? i know its a case of undoing the filler neck juberley then the tank straps but geting to the pump it that just unbolt it and lift it out, does it need a new gasket of anything? ive notice in the past when i looked at it theres a past around the housing... is that something special to seal it in?

It an easy job, all that stuff is mountet with a bit nut that you can loosen with a screwdriver and a hammer. Worked well at mine ^^ That gasket is like those old camcovergaskets, dont know the material, but i reused it and no leaks
