My current escos is a pig to drive on the road now as its setup for the track so i really would like another one that i can drive
It would have to be Totaly Standard, Small turbo model, in jewl voilet or dark abuergine with less than 70K on the clock ohh and right hand drive
anyone know if there is any such car out there lealone for sale?

You wont find a monte in abuergine they only did them in jewel violet, black and mallard and there isnt many small turbos about either bud, ive just bought wenny's jewel voilet 1 off him, can wait to get out and about in it.
*edit*
Not a small turbo but, fits the bill apart from that 33k miles!

Mate you want rarity, out of the 200 Montes there where about 28 in Jewel Violet and about 6 in ST version so I'd guess there was only about 3 or 4 cars made in that spec
The one posted above is mint I'll keep my eye's open thou
ps I've seen ST Monte's but never actually seen a ST Monte for sale

would you consider putting standard lights "front and back" and a set of monte wheels on it or are you happy with how it looks? dont get me wrong it looks fantastic i just want one that looks totaly original now

The only ST Montes I know of are
Number 077 Mallard Green which is in Malta
Number 080 Jewel Violet never seen a pic thou
185 Jewel Violet which is concours mint IIRC
190 Mallard Green which is LHD and also not a Monte but a even rarier Martini
So theres two others which might be LHD and maybe not even Jewel Violet.. and the number of ST Montes is rumoured at 6 so there maybe not be anymore at all

Monte 087
I gave him 17k for it, its only done 66k full history, fresh engine and turbo has only done about 2k miles since he got it built, he put the ap 6 pots, coilovers and the 18" comps all on brand new less than 500 miles ago so i dont think did too badly out of it, only stipulation was i gave him 1st refusal when i come to sell it lol

Hi Stoo,
i think trying to have a track car and road car as one is silly, i am gutted as i love my escos but need a road car that i can enjoy
i was driving home from Norwich the other afternoon / night "last saterday" and on the M25 amoung all the cars i see 3 cosworths!
first on flew past me like a rocket as i was comming on by the M11 white Saph didnt see much more tha that
the second one was a grey spah, 4 up went past then slow down to look at the escos on the trailer they all give me the thumbs up and turned off on the A127
and last up was a MINT lookng megenta Saph on the darford bridge, it was gleaming, he was in the fast lane i was in the slow lane "5 lanes" so no way he could of see me but when your doing 60mph you dont miss much lol
anyway all of them looked as if they was really enjoying there cars and i was gutted that i couldnt have a bit of fun with them
i have been toying with the idea of getting an M3 E46 or an evo 8 as a daily drive and for a bit of fun and comfort but whe i was ypunger i used to say to people all thetime you want an escos, power, comfort, 4wd what more could you want!!
suppose having an escos made me forget that and at the end of the day aslong as i get a mint one and look after it and dont start asking to much of it it shoukd be as reliable as any M3 or Evo
when you say if you change your criteria let me know..
why what do you have to offer?

It's weird how some of us now want standard looking Escorts-good choice Ben, I want a Monte as a daily driver and If I had one I would run it on the standard 16's as I think it looks stunning
Good luck in your search mate, as I said to you when we met, seeing an Escos used as a daily driver is soo cool, they look amazing in amongst the 'normal' traffic.

people wanting small turbos eh...what is the world coming too!
Ben your similar to me in some ways, i love my car super clean and look after it regardless of cost to use on good dry sunny days and when i use it i do use it hard! but then i go to track days and think god how much would i love to get on there with my car but i would never do it.
Hope you find one mate, its really nice to see such passion about these cars today.

Hi Vic, my car has a GrpA T34 with cut back blades and .63 exhaust housing to run big boost but the bad part is it makes it laggy as fuck "the reason for wanting a Small turbo" as well as running my suspention geometry at 3 Degrees Negative Camber with 2ML Toe In and 3 Degrees 30 Caster
Also Grp A Diff mount on the rear and straight cut box with a fully stripped out car isnt sometimes the nicest on 3+ hours journeys
Sorry steve would probebly settle for a non monte ST if i dont find one
