Is there any difference port wise between the two??

The cam cover bolts are not at the same place to start!
I think the oil and water galleries are improved and I'm not sure but I also think that the ECT (blue) sensor has been relocated.

robbieg not sure if its true but i was told the ybp head flows better as standard best to wait for a tuners reply!

Same as Matt, i heard the same.

heard a few tuners saying they preffer the small turbo head due to the port shape and size as they are slightly better for keeping torque levels up.

wether this is true or not i cant say

Well I should have been very tired when I read your question

It's known that these heads are better because improved from the early T35 but I don't know about the ports sizes

The point is the improved plenum elbow may lead to mistakes about what has really been improved in the head. (in a flow point of view)

Thanks for the replies guys My heads off at the moment and a mate has taken it to port for me.Just wondered how far to take it as don't want to ruin it.
GUZZLER you done anything to your small turbo head?

robbieg i gave it to Steve at Vulcun to fit new guides etc & port it.
