abs warning

Default abs warning

my escos been laid up in garage for about 3 months , wheeled it out to give it a clean up , but abs warning light and red handbrake light staying on and pedal really hard to press , its hardly moving . anyone got any ideas whats up ?

Has the battery been disconnected, check you have put all the small wires back on

also check the electrical connections on the abs pump, remove and remake.

thanks for the replies , the car been plugged into trickle charger while in garage , al check connections at abs pump 2 moro cheers

When you turn the ignition to the 1st position can you hear the brake actuator prime? You should hear the fuel pump coming from the rear of the car and actuator from the front........

just a thought mate, this happened to my 2wd Saph cossie a few year ago, it was the brake valve. The peddle got hard and then after pumping the peddle and ingnition on/off the brake valve exploded and pissed all the fluid out.

The Brake Valve can be found under the ABS Block (left side) on EsCos. its about 2" long. Not sure if these a still available from Ford.

checked the connections at abs pump they seem fine , the prime bit ive not tried , is that the sort of clicking noise that goes on slightly longer than fuel pump?
