Escos back on Monday!!!!
After seven long months!!! (Yeah including all the shows and track days!)
My formally good for nothing Escort Cosworth returns to the fray on Monday after a massive rebuild at AVA in Glasgow.

Its worth the wait!
Being run in on greens initially, then greys for a while on a T38 hybrid, then I'm bringing the rest in slowly!!
I think Alan's tempted me into a T4 roller bearing turbo but I'm undecided on injectors and management yet!!
Need to talk to her that wears the trousers when its all run in!
I'm thinking 1000cc's at the mo but as for the brains of the operation, I have no idea yet!!
Should be pushing 500+ at the wheels by the summer, fingers crossed!!
Good luck to the rest of you that are waiting!!

Neil, not sure of spec yet, he said it was slightly higher compression than Euan's, but he was very proud of it? Whatever that means!! Sounds good though. Hope yours is sorted soon, i'll be at the next West of Scotland RSOC meet with a bit of luck, as my mate has suddenly become a member, despite living in Plymouth!!

Think i will be going for the same T4 eventuly aswell, but dont know if i will be going for a custom exhaust and air box so mibi 450+ atw. If your over and my car is lying about get a few pics if you can to mind me what it looks like 
, think mine is ment to be not far off the same stage as yours now anyway.

Alan said 1200 miles should do the trick, done 500 so far so by the time I get back to work it should be done!!
Going for an Autronic SM4 ecu to get things purring!!
Still not got the full spec list from Alan, should get that when it goes for the first oil change.

Alan likes to play exact specs close to his cheast...I didnt know my exact comp ratio til about 6 months ago for example.
To get an escort to run 500 ATW at AVA will need major work mate as you will need an exhuast and a few other bits and bobs

Hope i can get the miles on mine as quick when i get it back. Im lucky as already have the ecu in with a part finnished map that will get tweaked for running in.
As Euan says 500 ATW in a 4x4 will be a big task, think andyg's 600+ motor made around that, im looking to get to around 400+ eventualy.

Mine is off having a rebuild. Gone now nearly 4 months. Hoping it'll be ready start of febuary. What takes tuners so long to build them. Surely the faster they do the work and get it out the more money they make
