Rear Suspension Geometry.
Does anyone know if its possible to adjust the rear suspension geometry on an Escort cosworth with the standard rear beam ?? Had mine checked today after fitting some Ahmed lowering springs & the rear setup is now out of alignment.
Has anyone come across this issue & how did you resolve it ???
Cheers.

he did become Mike Rydianbird for a wjile back hes back to his normal name now.
Chris, rear shims will help things slightly (via Rainbird for a small fee) but ultimatly a rear adjustable beam will be the best solution!!

If you're on a tight budget, then you can slot all the mounting points and then fit a big washer behind the bolts, once you have adjusted the beam to the settings you want, you can tack the washer into place, so that it can't move. This is what they did on the Grp N cars. However, it obviously will still have the horrendous bump steer of the original, but at least it will be right in normal use.

1) Danny B aka Adrenaline race and performance beam, for cirka £1k you get the optimum 6 degree trailing arm pick up angles, adjustable toe and camber and it is based on your std beam. I have gone for this option, and for 99% of cars I cannot see it being a problem, others will disagree but they don't realize most people cannot afford to run a WRC spec car ..
2) A Group A square beam with all the Mag arms/Y links etc etc, not the optimum 6 degrees, think it is 9 degrees due to group A regs, so not perfect but another option, belive you can get it on the car for circa £2k but requires a lot of maintainance apparently due to the mag alloy castings.
3) WRC cradle set up- Bespoke item, not sure where you can get them from really but to fit to the car I imagine you would be lookng at £3-5k .....
So there are your choices
