Check this auction

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=220176654564

Being the geek I am, I know they do not fit Escort Cosworths so being the helpful guy I am, I emailed him and told him they are for base model Escorts and will not fit a Escos RS2000 or XR3i

His reply was:-

'guess what ur wrong as we have tried them'

So then for his fucking cheek he gets the full brunt of my geekness as a reply

'Here is a picture of my genuine Escort Cosworth with light covers

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...R/DSC02089.jpg

This is what genuine Cosworth light covers look like

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ightCovers.jpg

This is what a genuine Escort Cosworth headlight protector looks like fitted

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...R/DSC02174.jpg

This is what happens if you try and fit base model covers on a Escort RS Cosworth I have hi lighted why it doesn't fit

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...R/DSC02053.jpg

Also base model covers have the protective rubber in the wrong place I have hi lighted where they should be

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...R/DSC02055.jpg

Base models have the part number 5025598 printed on the top Escort Cosworth versions have 5027758 see Ford microcat listing:-

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rsmicrocat.jpg

so guess what!............. your wrong!'

Waiting his reply

No reply still and they are still on ebay

Last person I helped on ebay was a girl that had listed half a genuine RS500 spoiler as a Escort Cosworth hockey stick! She was quite happy when it sold for £400

This is the silly thing, mk5 came with two types of headlights normal and 'long range' The RS2000, XR3i and Escort Cosworth all had long range lights.. so he is right when he says it doesn't fit his RS2000 but as the Cosworth has the same lights how can it fit them
