Default small turbo escort cosworth not starting

Hello

I hope someone can help me, my small turbo escort cosworth isnt starting, it gets fuel but no spark on plugs. i have measured the crank sensor resistance to be 4k ohm and going up to around 3.2M ohm and staying there. Anyone know what the problem could be? What sensors is it that is vital to get spark on plugs? I checked both the connection to map and crank sensor even maf sensor. Car is cranking when turning the key.

I hope someone can help me

Normally crank and phase sensors control spark and fuel mate, your phase one is where the 'dizzy' would be. Don't know any specs on the small turbo one though

The crank sensor is the usual culprit when it comes to no spark. 3.2 M Ohm sounds like it's duff. If you have an AC rms meter look for at least 0.7 volts when cranking, a good sensor will give 1.4 volts or more.

BTW, it's the cam sensor that's driven off the distributor jackshaft on the ST.

Thanks alot for that advice, i have ordered a new tdc sensor now. Tho it looks like it have the same 36-1 trigger wheel as other eeciv cars itcould maybe be compatible with other models, but its best to get the original part from ford.
