How much is my Escos worth
most of you will know my car, but for those who don't, it's 35k miles, fsh,MAD stage 4 327bhp 356lb/ft, entered in novice concours last year and will be again this year (see siggy below for details of placings), used approx 10 times a year (mostly less than this though) for the last 2 or 3 years , stored in a carcoon when not being used, currently on 19" super leggeras with 6 pot AP's, Konis, GGR exhaust with cat, leather, loads of colour coding detailing under the bonnet and in boot etc, a lot of money has been spent on this car, new clips, tanks, screws, caps etc for concours last year,FSH all receipts.
In very good condition, the engine bay is particularly clean for a mid 30k mile car.
So what's it worth, this is not a for sale post, yet.

if it was me matt id keep your escort the mallard wouldnt be my choice of colours but when ya see SUPER CLEAN examples of mallard green cars ie yours and cos 22 it would grow on me... i can understand that you always lusted for a 500 but to sell such a good example of an escort youd just want to be sure that you would get a 500 for your 20k, i can imagine the amount of time you put into the escort and you cant put a price on that, if you hold out id say you would get very close to what ya want for it, but advertise it in the right places, the last thing ya want is to have your head wrecked by people who only want to come and have a look at it

Monster...All the times i pestered you Dont insult me and Keep it! PMSL
Matt, I reckon £20K.
My old one just sold for £19k and was basically standard apart from wheels. The Imp blue 13K one was way too cheap and thats why it sold within 24hrs!
STick to your guns mate, £20k to the right person

i agree, the right owner will be out there. why take fuck all cos people asume they are not wanted.the trouble with cossies now is they are being bought now by entusiasts not fast car lovers.the fast car boys have moved on to evo's etc leaving the real cossie boys to get on with thier passion. it just takes time to pair the right car to the right owner now.

I am probably going to take the wheels, brakes and number plate off, I think it will appeal to more people, and I can always sweeten the deal by offering them at a good price if they really want them.
That way I make some lucky people very happy by providing them with AP 6 pots, big rear disc conversion, 19" leggeras and 18" MO's

I was offered £1500 for the Super leggeras years ago and now they are even harder to get hold of so I hope to get at least that on the Bay, brakes should make strong money and I have interest in the MO's already, they will probably go first
