Default do you know this escos?

hi peeps , thinkin of buying this escos

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-Ford-Esco...QQcmdZViewItem

thing is the guy cant tell me what the full spec is , when i asked him he just said it was really fast! so i've sent him another question asking if there is any proof of the 430bhp and what has been done to the car.

does anyone know of this car? and can you tell me anything about it?

Well its running greys, so id say its not far short of 400 if not more.

looks very very tidy and only thing not standard are the rondells.. not a bad 1 and only mod i say.

be cheaper to get a set of standard rims if prefered.

id prefer to just buy a big turbo model with the same power.

with you on this one mate , N reg with LT mirrors? ST fuel cap? using a lrg turbo engine and inlet etc etc, if converted why not keep the ST inlet as its way better??? missing the lower splitter too... yet it has a monte gear nob and leather... Also delocked too...

just seems a touch dodgy to me!? classic seller knows nothing about the car syndrome

Does seem a bit of an oddball thing being an Nreg and a mix and match of big turbo and small turbo

Thats a hard one to judge, deffo small turbo shell even has the weather strips on the door frame, yet it has big turbo wing mirrors and big turbo badging. The engine has deffinalty been replaced that is no way is this original. I haven't seen an N-reg with YBT and big mirrors before either.
Doubt there is 430 in it either maybe 380-400.

One other possible dating on the car is the centre console but would need you guys to confirm, the centre console has the same crap ford imbolizer that the Montes had I've seen other '94 escorts with this aswell but I was always under the impression that the Small turbos had a different type? anyone confirm either way?

Problem is being from a trader you just have no idea. If its clean and HPI's I would deffinalty want to speak to the previous owner before parting with money..Just goes to show you guys if you fuck about with the emgine, mirrors and badging when it comes to selling people think its a build up!

A friend of mine has a 1994 ST, with BT mirrors, and ST fuelcap. It's originally with these mirrors.

I'm not sure about the weather strips on the door frame, but as far as I know he also doesn't have these:

First thing i noticed the filler flap and BT motor, does seem strange mix, mine is a mix too, its on the change over! 94, early ST, ST motor with twin bags, filler flap and a/con, but has the BT mirrors, badging on tailgate, the immobiliser in the centre console and no weather strips on cills. i would just want to know more about the motor, if its been changed as it suggests, where its come from, receipts for it ect (incase its out of a stolen Escos whats been broke) and what millage is on the motor. cos im worth it yours is very likely ok as its a change over model but this is a August 1995 which is well in to ST territory. Again this doesn't mean that deffinalty a wrongun, it could have been registered late etc
I would like to see the Ford print (Edis Etis Otis or whatever the fuck its called ) out on this car so you can see the build date and spec etc. I have mine at home on my car never looked to see if it mentions YBT or YBP on it thou will check and get back to you later.
