just wondering how come the monte doest command alot more cash tha the standard escorts?
rouse saffs do,and obviously the rs500 does over the 3dr.just thought this was strange.

 

Bit of a marmite situ really mate you either love of hate them, there is no benefit to them over a normal cloth lux Esc Cos. The Rs500 had 8injector set up, T4, Bigger Intercooler etc etc.. The monte has a alloy gearknob and chrome handbrake button

 

that h/brake button is worth an extra 4k easily anyone know where i can get a spare one? it was never available on its own,you had to buy the complete assembly [theres a surprise!]

 

so it was just that and the rims? oh and the stickers! now i se why. were they alot more out the factory?

 

Inregards to the cost thats actually a very interesting question I have no idea as there was no official broshure or price list, I have the original bill in my history and I find out what the original owner paid, if someone else could compare it please

 

Paul they were the same as any other esc cos. I was speaking to Cyril about it (previous owner of your monte) when I had mine at a RS meet.

 

i do find it strange that even though its a ltd edition it doesnt pull more but i doubt people would pay more for the little amount you get

 

Exactly matey, no leather, no aircon. Just seats out of a rs2K and a few shiney bits wirh a number on the dash. But one horny set of alloys

 

some mk1/2 mondeo ghia's have a chrome handbrake buttons, dunno if there the same or not.

I would say they are worth a little bit more, but not much tbh.

But yes, they could of changed the spec a bit on the engine imo..
