How many turbo boost do you have on your small turbo Escort?

I've made a quick Paint-shop...

picture 1 show's the boost peak, the 2nd is the boost its holding:

Anyone an idea how many boost it is??? I was guessing:

Peak 1.6 bar, Holding 1.4 ??

You guess is about right. Mine hits and holds 21psi (1.5bar) and needle is right down there around bo!!

 

mines standard so it overboosts to just into the red section, then drops back to the first line of the hashed section

Do you have the original Turbo on it?? And the original gasket?

How many BHP do you have??

 

Now it has hybrid T28 on it 21psi 303bhp / 367lbft, but it used to hit about 1.3 bar of boost on the standard turbo.

 

cossymad - what spec is your turbo? 367lbft is impressive for a small turbo, what else has been done to it?

also, where did you get the pillar gauge mount from?

The T in turbo is 1,9bar and between R and B in turbo is about 1,6bar
So my guess is that yours is 1,2 bar konstant and 1,4bar max

 

mmm...

I've still got the original turbo on it Maybe a good idea to lower the boost a bit!

How many bhp did yours have with the original turbo and 1.3 bar ???
