mk 1 mondeo ghia X's had that an an option aswell, I have a few laid about here!!

the usual option on an esc cos was the 2040 in dash cd player as oppossed to a 2050 which apart from the one on this thread I have never seen in an esc cos and my ford brochure only lists the 2040 as an option

hang on hang on hang on!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had one of them and all the stuff to go with it, but the actual head unit needs to be compatable AND you need the correct loom to go with it
very tricky to find if you haven't got it

I also have one of the CD changers in my shed all nicely boxed up. Along with an Amp and Head unit.
If i can figure out the wiring, I want to fit it my Focus estate.

Has anyone got a diagram of the power supply or just knows how to wire it all up?

No Escos left the factory with a 2050 CD changer. The only options were a 2028 single disc on the early models, replaced with a 2040 single disc on the later ones.

If you want the best standard setup, ditch the 2007 and go for the 2008 twin tuner as fitted to the Granada Scorpio. It's got loads more features like an electronic tape deck if anyone still uses it, and it also allows you to record and play back a couple of minutes worth of stuff off the radio.

IIRC the wiring is interchangeable with the 2040 apart from an extra cable going to the changer unit itself. If you've got a 2040 then the 2050 should go straight in its place.

I've got a spare 2050 setup that I used to have in my rs2000...

I dont suppose you still have the 10cd boot mounted autochanger ?
Mine has died due to water ingress which has corroded the pcd components at the base of the unit
