Default GGR 335 setup

Hi everyone
I've got a GGR335 conversion on my BT but I think I may have a problem.
I did some runs vs a 99 scooby almost stock (so about 220bhp) and to my great disappointment I was just following him since I should have about 100 more bhp than him I would say that's not normal

I have a SECS and an AFR display so I'm sure that ACT, ECT, TP, MAP and HEGO are fine. the point is when I hit the gas I'm always at the last led of rich.
I would understand to be in the rich area for safety purpose but should it be that fare??
I did measure the compression (12b at the 4 cylinders) and I'll check or change the TDC and phase sensors soon but I don't have misfiring. My plugs are dark brown but not black so I'm quite lost...

Does anyone have (or had!) the same setup had the same disappointment? or did a rolling road test? I'd like to know what to expect before booking one?

mine had this set up when i bought the car and i thought it was behaving pretty shit, really struggling against other cars etc. any how took the car to stu at MSD and when he put his gauges etc on it it was struggling to boost at 20psi wich equates to about 280 bhp he said. any how left it with him so he could put one of his chips in, 3 bar map sensor, -34 act etc and when it came back it was a lot better, boosts at 27/28psi and hold approx 24psi. its old technology now apparently, ditch the ggr and get it booked into somewhere like msd to get a revamp.

I had this on my old escos a few years ago, wound the boost up to peak at 25psi and hold 22-23. I got 338 bhp on the rollers. Does what it says on the tin and all that.....

the GGR stg 3 conversion used the std 2.5 bar map sensor IIRC so there is no boost spike and it just holds around 20psi...

The boost is set as required in the user manual that's mean 23psi on peak and 20 on hold.
The point is in France there is no company really able to make a live mapping on P8
I plane to take the car to stu (probably) but with wilder specs in mind. and this will have to wait a while

I guess I'll buy an AB chip from Mike.. but it's another wast of time and money.. I would have expected more from GGR.

stu does off the shelf chips - as long as you can conformt eh exact spec, he can sort you out

and with stus new chips, you can use the new virtual dashboard/monitor software

yes I know about RPlab stuff but the day I want this I buy a Motec M4..

I'll contact stu to have his opinion because I like to make sure that my car is fine and I may also do a RR to get the torque and poxer curves to see how they look like.. it'll cost me a 100 quids but before suppling a new chip it may be clever

as you say,

dont scrimp on £100 when you are literally risking £000's for the price of a new engine if its not running right..
