My nightmare 2 weeks, now with pics.
Right it all started a few weeks ago when i bought some ap brakes asked my mate to fit them for us so one night we set about doing it off came the old brakes and on went the new ones no probs but we started having trouble bleeding them and couldnt work out why any way they worked but not that great. Drove home carfully and rang places like GGR and PJ for help they said should'nt really be a prob if you do it right. Ok i thought next night went back down to my mates tried again got a bit of fluid out but still not what we wanted. Now before anyone says anything i know how stupid it was to drive without brakes working propely i went home the back way and was going down a hill when the car in front stopped i put my foot on the brake but not a lot was happening then it got to the point of shit i am going to hit this i wasnt going fast only about 10mph abd shunted the car in front.
Could not believe this i was mad att my self for driving it home the people in front were on there hols which made it worse. Anyway got it home and looked at the damage and it had pushed the bumper back on one side about 2" other than that i seemed ok. Got it down the body shop and they took the bumper off with great difficulty and the carrier was bent and the bolts had snapped as you cant buy these bumpers from ford anymore he had to try and fix it. I must say he did a great job took him a while but it looks like new,had the car trailered over to another mate of mine who knows his stuff to sort the brakes and it turns out to be the braided hoses mine it had braided hoses already but it needed different ones so thanks Tim for sorting that Also got the car sitting better with different springs. Si its costs me a lot more than just a change of brakes. I can put pics up if ya like of the new car?

Good to here you got it back mate, how do the ap's seem compared to the standard brakes? When we went to get the different hoses rally design say they can do a wilwood 6 pot kit about 200 per calliper plus discs, pads and brackets. Only down side is he himself recons the ap discs are far superior.

The standard cosworth hoses would screw into the calliper ok but when all the way there was no where for the fluid to except directly hitting the casting which wasnt enabling the fluid to reach the pistons. The correct hoses should have had a banjo fitting on the calliper end allowing the fluid to flow correctly.
