i wouldn't mind paying for it but just want them knocked down a hundred or two as we all know they can they just dont until you get a better price

Im 37, well 36 when i had escort Agreed value of 18k
Cost me £548 with unlimited mileage through Dominion.

Limited to 5,000 miles was £48 cheaper Whats the point

I have been with green light for the last 2 years think i was £1350 first year, ive got 4 years ncb now. Might be the value of your car sure i put mine down as £14500 or something. I was under £1500 when i was just 22 with tesco, but had paid them more than enough for the scooby i had at 19. lol

i am 42 and in OZ. i have one of about six escort cossies in WA. mine is insured here with a car enthusiasts company called shannons it costs me $1,200 a year ( about 500 pounds ) i have 65% no claims and agreed value of $63,000 (about 25,000 pounds) because of its rareity, i also have salvage rights on the car. it is worth more dead than alive. but i love it so much i dont care how much its wort or what i have to pay in insurance. i am constantly looking in the rear view mirror. ( i have anti lock brakes but there are so many buckets of shit on the road here that dont, they dont even have MOT tests.)

unfortunately I'm 50.
who cares, as my memory is now failing, I simply can't remember where that bloody brake pedal is.
which means I get to drive faster than everyone on here, except the guys who are 51 of course.
I almost forgot, my car doesn't have insurance.

Speedy is right, my car is for hillclimbs only.
If only racing insurance was possible for a reasonable price.
I should say I'm impressed so many young members have Escort Cosworths.
My first car was an escort van.
Have fun and enjoy the moment, who knows what the future will bring, especially with fuel costs, gov regulations, speeding, insurance, MOT's etc.
Geert, unfortunately you know all about MOT's.
