Wasnt expecting it to be that cheap!!!
Im not 100% sure it is my rachet or cable to be honest. Most of the time my gear changes are perfect. Its just sometimes i can feel my clutch pedal stiffen slightly and its harder to get in gear, but if i release the pedal, it clicks once, then its back to normal again.
Does this sound like it is the ratchet???
Cheers.

might be the cable thats stretched
the best advice is that (this is on a sierra don't know what the escos is like) you just drop the steering column by undoing the 2 nuts that hold it place
that way you get more space to play with
there will be 4 bolts holding it in place if it's like the sierra, 3 that also secure the abs pump stuff and one little fooker right above the column with a big fat washer on it
spin it over the top of the column and out it comes, easy to do on a workbench/in a vice
