not really a list of parts but it will get you started.

standard crank
h section rods
low comp pistons
t4
8 injectors
maybe a new block
a decent spec head + cams and verniers

all important, a good map.

its an old spec but trust worthy. theres loads of peope still using t4 and 8 injectors. Mike Rainbird & A1 Rallysport (Steve) british saloon car racing! just a couple.

it wont be cheap, i would image to do a proper job with a dyno session with mapping, dont expect any change from 10k

also you will need gearbox, diffs and brakes.

hmm i would get the crank looked at instead of leaving it standard as its belt and braces also h section rods are expensive and if your going to just 500 they aint needed but yes low comp pistons t4 8 greens, min of 200 block but get it checked for cracks etc first and group a head, if you want it really driveable then go for 14 and 15 cams they work a treat. my alfa engine is similar to all that with a good map sees 506.6bhp at 1.8bar on the rollersand if you have it built properly 10k could be about right.

also to consider if you want to go more at alater date then get thhe h section rods and even lower comp pistons and bigger turbo now as if your gona buy bits anyway it will be easier to spend a little bit more now on bits than have to pay another 6k again at a later date!!!

Well what i ment was that the standard crank is very very capable so no need to buy a new uprated one. surely when building a engine everything would be checked any how, but a re-ground crank with matching shells is just the ticket

T4 are pretty much only good for 480bhp
Ahmeds T4 and 8 injector conversion is the nuts for a road car with none of the big lag problems of past

the gearbox and diffs would be near £5k alone.

GT 30, Bd14's, decent ported head, well built standard bottom end with a set of low comp pistons, and a set of 850cc's will see you well clear of 500bhp,why fook about with 8 injectors and T4 truck turbo? cheaper as well as the ecu and 8 injector get up is best part of 2k... and I am selling all my 8 injector kit, so I can go to 850's keep it simple and driveable
