Diff's & options?
is anyone running different diffs atall - wether it be a quaife, gripper or even plated!??
smashed my rear diff to pieces and chewed the splines thru on the pinion aswell, kinda fed up now of braking transmission parts so think its time to go for the stronger options.
in my hunting for a new diff today ive had various options offered to me, the first being a plated rear diff.
anyone had any experience with using a plated rear diff, or what combination of diffs are sugested for both the front and rear.... ie, quaife front with plated rear or best to go for both quaife ATB units?
Cheers

plated, as far as i know, is worth crap..... The only thing i was suggested is the quaife ATB Diff (which i now have for my racer). Get a professional opinion and parts from Bernie @ CTS, an expert on all Diff/Gearbox related stuff !

Have spoken to Bernie.
managed to get a couple of 3.9 rear diffs to get the car mobile again but rear Quaife ATB with polished 3.9 CWP has been ordered, and front one will be sorted out in a few weeks aswell.
Cheers

3.62 ratio is standard, ive steppd mine up to 3.9 for better acceleration on trackdays, and it makes it slightly more lively to drive overall.
it is a straight fit if you get the same 7'' diff.
thedaddie, thru Bernie the Quaife ATB with peened & polished CWP is costing Ł1010 delivered to my door

Standard gearbox at the moment with 3.9 step off gears in the transfer box. the 3.9 front diffs are a little bit to weak (or so im told!)
but ive got my eye on a quaife big tooth gearbox which has come up!

From what I've heard Fixit is better than Quaife... Spoke to the Fixit guys from Sweden this weekend at the Norwegian Gatebil show. They had the gearbox internals on display, compared to the standard parts.
I know what I'm buying when I'm changing gearbox...
