Default AIRBAG QUESTION

I only have a drivers airbag on my esc cos and I want to fit a passenger one.
Ive got the passenger airbag and the wiring loom and I was told that the airbag control unit is the same one for single or twin airbags but the plug on the new loom doesn't fit They have moulded the plastic slightly different on the plug which is making me think that the control units must be different.

I know its a bit of a boring question but if anyone can help I would be really grateful.

Thanks

deffo need the twin airbag control unit, try breakers for orion/ escort ghia's they have the same one, don't use the mk6 ones tho as they have electronic seat belt pre tensioners built in unlike ours.

I wasn't sure if they were the same as the escorts as they've got escort cosworth printed on them. I might be able to get hold of the control unit from the escort I took the passenger airbag from.

Thanks for your help.

tan...
If you get stuck I have a cosworth twin airbag control unit.
I know when I was looking for one about 5yrs ago the dealer struggled and got this in from germany. Anyway it wasn't what was wrong with my system so I still have it.
I know I am a long way away but if you get stuck you at least know where there is one.
I believe they are specific to twin airbag systems and cosworths.
good luck
