Default Anyone ever sanded their heatshield TURBO writing off?????

OK this may be a weird question but could the TURBO writing be sanded off the standard heatshield and still leave a lovely smooth surface?
Or as I suspect is the construction of the shield too textured (seems to be made out of asbestos/glassfibre) and would this therefore make it impossible?
Cheers

The letters are moulded on top of the fibreglass, thus having a flat surface underneath. So if you sanded them flat id say it would leave a smooth finish but reckon you have to get it paited after as the sanded part would look completly different to the rest of the heatsheild.

personally i prefer it with the turbo lettering.

Most carbon fibre turbo covers come with a flat surface (no lettering, or lines).

I would say it will be easier to geta carbon item and colourcode that IMO...

As the std item would require a fair bit of prep to look nice colourcoded if you sanded them down

As some will have seen mine is colour coded mallard, but even though the shield is mega heat proofed with about £50 worth of heat proof panels and tape it still bubbles a tiny bit around the writing, no where else
so I thought if I sanded it down I would be OK-just worried that it will be all strandy underneath like fibreglass if you know what I mean obviously it couldn't be fillered so needs to be nice and smooth.

It will be all straggly underneath I reckon, nothing to stop you trying it and fibreglassing it then painting and seeing what happens??

Apart from the fact that the show season has started already and it wouldn't be ready in time and it's only been out once and you know the outcome of that little saga
