Default Escort Build?

Is there any way of finding out what build number your car is from your VIN? - (e.g. it was the 120th big turbo????)

Dave, I wouldnt put that info up, I can work out (as can anyone else) your vin...

I will tell you my theory is flawed though as mine is 938** and production on my car commenced far later than yours ...

So presumably the engine was put in car then car was allocated a vin from that? If so there is no way of telling...

And mines a ST 923** and is later than yours dave. So we can safely say the engine number sequence cannot be used to tell when our cars were made/registered or in that order.

Unless, they worked the other way round for some reason as mines newer than both yours and damo's so maybe they started from 99999 and worked down???

There must be some way of telling surley???

dave cos4x4

I know... but you can never be too careful ay ...

S1rst

Its strange your engine number is lower than mine and Daves... considering yours is a different type of engine... which would defo have been made later than ours.....
