Default bleeding cooling AGAIN

hey guys ive recently changed my header tank, and i was supposed to bleed the system properly which i may not have done, anyhow after opeinf the nipple on the throm housing, water is flowing nicely out of that, all hoses nice and hot but i cant get the fan to come on even after idling for bloody yonks it just stuck in the middle of the gauge, the heater is nice and warm so can i assume its ok??? and bled nicely??, ive been for a drive and the temps didnt rise at all, bear in mind i didnt do a FULL coolant flush i just drained the header tank, what was worrying me was after i stopped i notice bubbles in the header tank???? once i.d switch off the car, not while running, were these bubbles from the thermo closing? but temps are defo bang on. nothing to worry about?
