steering rack advice plz!!!???

Default steering rack advice plz!!!???

found out today mine is shafted leaking into the actual rack pipes were all fine when checked ... then it was clear that the rack has had it

so anyone know the best place for me to get a new rack????

also found 1 front disc is cracked too

only rains when it pours

dont know about a new one mate, but on my old esc coz i had it re-conditioned for around £100 if i remember correctly and it was spot on after,might be the cheaper option too....

yer i was thinking of getting that done but the problem i have is not sure what is wrong with mine the liquid is leaking out for the boots quite badly!!! so seems like its gone wrong inside?? not too sure if they could recon that!?

they would definatly be able to re-con that mate,sounds like its just the seals gone and the power steering fluid is leaking past and into the rubber boots,had it before on a 16v astra,not a problem they can do it.

I've had an absolute nightmare with the rack lately. There is a thread not too far down on here. Make sure you get yours done rather then getting a re-conned, as I got stung with this and got a normal sierra 4x4 one sent. Paid £90 + vat to get mine done, and the same again for fitting.

ok people good news sort of ..... company here called EXPRESS FACTORS can recon my old one for £200 not cheap but best way i feel so gonna have to book it in to have the rack removed and reconed
