Default ESc.cos - how old, L/S turbo, and a couple of other question

Hi peeps,
Just starting to do some research on esc.cos's as im looking to buy one over the summer - i'll have the money for one in a couple of months.
I'm going to be looking at spending no more than 15 or so, and would hope that will get me either a nice standard one, or a sensibly modded, either with lots of history etc -

Colour wise im really after an imperial, Allurais (sp???) or silver (which i'm told are rarer than hens teeth encrusted rocking horse poop!), or a pacifica one....
So, this lead onto my question....
Which years, and reg's do they come in??
Am i right in thinking that the esc.cos range ran from 92 - 96, which would make them k to p reg??
Also, just for ref, is the swap over year 94?? - was there any particular month or was there a general phasing out of the LT? - i'm sure i've read that there are some big turbo models with the ST mirrors, and airbags?

And finally, how much do mint cloth interiors go for? - the vast majority of lux's that i've seen for sale seem to have leather, which i don't actually like- i'd much rather have the hex cloth, and sell the leather!

Cheers

your right with the 92-96,[a few reg 97]swap over 94 etc, moondust silver very very rare colour, you will have to be lucky to find one of them, auralis blue will be small turbo unless converted at some time, imp blue could be either turbo,[94 on]and pacifica are normally big turbos, full mint cloth are around £450-500 mark [available in green, red, blue or silver hex pattern]you will sell the leather easily, make sure you dont buy the motorsport cloth interior though as it looks similar but isnt recaro

You'll find that some of the first sm turbo models had the large turbo model wing mirrors, mine has. I'm not aware of any large turbos having the later sm turbo smaller wing mirrors fitted.

there were a couple of genuine r plates, that were registered later on by private individuals but anything else could well be a diy job so be very wary when buying

Ok, so be very wary when looking at late ones - will ideally be no later than a p plate then!

Tomboy- thanks, but i don't want one in black - it Has to be in one of the colours above! the only other colour that i would strech to would be mallard! - don't like back cars too much at all TBH!

Cheers

Trapse all round the country (as I did) looking at unsuitable examples
Then end up viewing one ten minutes down the road (as I did)
Then buy it within a week (as I did ROFL)

Good luck in your search my friend, if you need a hand give us a shout
