which axle/diff in mk2

Default which axle/diff in mk2

hi all

i have just baught my self my first old school ford

unfinnished project want to know which axle to fit or diff
the shell was a 1.3 but re shell on rs2000 v v v sollid car has had alot of
work done at retro motorsport bulkhead cut back 5 inch large gearbox tunnel,large prop tunnel,large diff tun,engine wise it has got vauxhall 2.0
16v xe ported an pollished head lightened an balenced flywheel, runnin twin 48's ,type 9 box with taller 1st gear rs 2000 single piece prop.
im just wondering what you chaps think the way to go is on the axle/diff side of things???

hi there we fitted a capri 2.8i special axle to the mk 2 we are building as its a cheap way of getting a lsd good for atleast 250 - 300 bhp and if you are arching the motor it gives it a wider track

Atlas IMO as said above - form a 2.8i capri - comes with a slipper and good n strong. you'll need to get it shortened if you want to use standard arches though.
