Default Pinto question

Ive got a 1600 (not 165) block with a 2ltr head on it, if the cambelt breaks will it be valve safe, or will they get bent? Just out of curiousity to be quite honest

i would have thought they would bend as they do on the 2 litres and on the 1.6 so a combo of both will most probably do it also!

i repaired a transit a few years ago that did, my autodata cambelt book also identifies it as an interference engine

2.0 is non interferance, transit more so as it has lower piston height and a lower lift cam than the car version all 3 of my autodatas list them as non ? (96, 99, 02 print)
a well skimmed head or one with a high lift cam can make them hit though
TBH a 2.0 head on a 1.6 will have too low a compression to be usefull? can i ask why that combo ?
