need diff centre!
A mate of mine needs a diff centre for a MK1 GT Escort. He said it was 3.4:1, is this right. He has a 2 ltr with Sierra 5 speed and he blew the diff up leaving work a bit quick! I thought the GT had 3.75:1 diff. can any one help asap. 
What other ratios should he look for to suit the 5 speed?

3:54 IS A TALLER GEAR AS IN THE RS2000 AND AUTO ESCORTS 3:77 IN THE MEXICO
3:9 OR 4:1 ARE FOR SPRINTING SHORTER RATIO. 3:9 IS WHAT I HAVE IN MY MK1 WITH A PINTO AND WITH A 5 SPEED WORKS GOOD FOR ME.
4:1 IS REALLY FOR SHORT/QUARTER MILE,UPTO 100MPH.AS IS 4:4 BUT THESE ARE USUALLY EXPENSIVE
