i have just bought a mk2 escort to add to my ford colection but needs some restoration
its a two door shell with a 1.3popular automatic

i am in need of pannels for the car but want to use genuin pannels i need

front wing a bonnet and rear wells where the fuel tank and spare wheel goes

need these parts because it is got rott in the car and need to restore to its former glory


can anyone help ?????????????????????????????????

Sorry I cant help with any of the parts your looking for , although Im sure you can still get all the parts, have you tried " expressed panels " pricey but they usually have the bits your looking for .

Mind and post up some pics , got to love a mk2 , thats prob the next one on my list

 

Well i wish you all the luck in the world to find O.E. FORD panels, and i hope you got a lot of dosh! as you be looking at realy good money for FORD panels, the close thing to ford O.E. panels is expressed panel, and them its self are not cheap but cheap compare to wot you find if you lucky on FORD panels?
I can not see wot is wrong with useing after market panels, as it is not that hard to fit'' or make them fit, as you would with any other panel....
if you are very handy on restoreing a car it should not make any diffrence on wot panels you need to use!
But if you are happy to look for O.E. FORD panels i hope you find them, and show us how you get on!

 

As said orignal panels are rare as fuck and when they do come up expect to pay serious money, Ł500+ for a set of escort wings

yea i no what you mean about expensive (restored a cossie with ford parts cost me a fortune) i no you get bad and good pattern parts just tryin to get best fit as trying to save the amount of time and workmanship by getting as close to right as i can get but thanks i think ill try that express pannels see what i can find on there

bought the new engine ect to go in her and started to strip ready to go in the body shop in a fue weeks

 

See that was a little easy for the cosworth side of things such as panel work! but beleave me mate, its not on the old escort....
I can tell you now that the amount of people who would go mad for O.E. panels or just even parts its self its just cazy money mate... thats why its easy to build a mod car then a stock look...
but yes you be better off looking into the expressed-panels, you will get the closer fitment plus more choice of panel range....
So are you going for the stock look on the car, or are there any mods you be doing!

im going for stock look with only a couple of mods basicly want the harrier front and rear spoiler and a set of deep dish mini light wheels and that is it think it will look retro that way


but my dad wants me to do tripple x pack but not feeling it like it to look orignal lol

just went on express panels and priced up all parts needed and gona cost me under a grand for the pannels dam thats a dam good price thought it was going to cost way more than that

started to strip her down to bare shell today and emptyed the car found a treaser box in the back of the car found new lights front and rear and indercators and wheel cylinders and shoes brake pipes and lots more stuff
