I've built a mk3 now its on for a full resto![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
simple to do but start off with a 2 litre first makes it easier in the long run![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
The mark 5 has a lot more room in the front for coolers etc![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
cossie4i has built a few aswell do a search for cossie powered sleepers

Hi mate, would love to do a blue 2000e mk3 yb,but dont want the cost of the base car,so a nice mk4/5 would be ideal, any pic,s of your mk3,as i say,i have every thing for the conversion

Anything like that is going to cost you a plenty to get a decent shell.
I'd be looking for an old cortina estate or something similar, it's just a case of keeping your eyes and ears open and asking your ford friends to do the same..
Ginge

I had the same dilemar on decideing which car to convert to cossi, Ended up squeezing it into my 66 anglia in the end. bloody hard work especially when its a 4x4. Broke the back of it now, on the down hill slope now, ''thank god''.

I had a mk3 with an essex v6 and the gearbox fitted fine, infact when i removed it and fitted a Rover V8 and 5spd, there was very little to do to make the gearbox fit.
I must admit i cheated a bit as to get the Rover in i just bought a Rover V8 into Capri Conversion and adapted it for the Tina by using Range Rover mounts. The tricky bit was Converting the Car to Hydrolic Clutch for the Rover box but all in all its a prety easy car to work on with a rather large bay and tunnel
