Hottest cam with std rods/crank?
Hi All - first post on what looks to be a great forum! I can't claim to own a pre-80 Ford at the moment but I do have a Cortina 1600GT crossflow and 2000E 'box in my 1968 TVR Vixen I'm in the process of prepping the car for racing in the HSCC Historic Road Sports series and I'm getting conflicting advice about the correct choice of cam . The regs are pretty strict and I'm not allowed to run with steel rods or crank - I guess I'm looking at a max of ~7500 rpm. Are any of you Ford 'gurus' able to offer any suggestions regarding the best cam for a 'racing' application?

I can also recommend Joe at Throbnozzle Racing , He races a mk1 cortina in the top hat series , although he mainly specializes in pre crossflows he also does work on crossflows
