Default mk2 escort suspension and brakes

hi just bought a 2dr mk2 escort 1.3l and was wondering wot is the best brake upgrade u can do for not much money. also want it lowered seen some 2"lowerering blocks but where do i get lowerering springs for the front end and wot is the best lbs rating to get as this is my first old skool ford and i am used to buying suspension in full packages. also will 7x13inch superlights go straight on.

basic brake upgrade is vanted disc and caliper then you can find austin princess calipers,lowering spring can get from people like burton,rally design,u plannin on keepin the xflow engine.7s should go on might need 2 roll the arch on the rear slightly dependin on tyres

planning on putting a 2 litre pinto in it. wot size tyres should i run on 7x13 superlites. want the tyres 2 look stretched over the tyres think it looks good

think u can 175 on 7s,ask on old skool ford loads of cars on there with stretched tyres on 7s

cheers guys. ordered my wheels from peter lloyd rallying along with 1.5 inch lowering blocks. just need tyres. was thinking of 185.60.13 tyres but was told 205.60.13s would go on with no arch mods can u get these tyres from local tyre firms or do u have 2 get them from a specialist. if so anybody know any1 in the northeast i can get them from.

who told you that they would go on with no mods? i had to mod to get 185/60 on my mk2

got my wheels on had to roll the front archs cos they caught a bit and still catch a little on the rear but they totally changed the look of the car. think they catch cos i using the tyres of my old wheels which i think r mexico steels the tyres are 175\70/13s and look nice stretched over the rims. how do i get pics up?
