Them VTS are bloody rappid and under estimated. most are mistaken for VTR which are loads slower.

those vts's don't hang about but any mildly tuned rs should easily out pull one on everything except maybe the twistys.
having said that the 16v motors do tune very well- either way if u've had a ar$e whooping u should be ashamed

i had a 106 gti (same engine) they are rappid but in a straight line u should piss on one, they dont hav to wait4 the turbo to cut in!

drove my mates VTS and was got to 136 well quick well fun down and around corners lol

On the clocks, which in real money is about 115mph so not all that impressive. my mates old one used to seem really fast when in it compared to either of my RS's but both of them leave the Paxo for dead

Julia while the VTS is no ball of fire it's far removed from the VTR. Don't underestimate them as in the right hands they can destroy cars costing twice as much with a hell of a lot more power

 

that is very try, they move ALOT quicker than a vtr with 20 extra bhp

Your only downfall in an RST is lag, once you come on boost you should eat it unless there's summat wrong with your RST. My 3i will comfortably beat VTR's and VTS's without breaking a sweat, but I've got no lag and despite what people think, a saxo is heavier than youd expect.

 

mine starts boosting at 1500rpm @5psi then is fully on boost at 2000rpm @ 10psi- lag wots that
powers comes in alot lower down than most n/a cars and altough i havn't beat a vts(havn't found one yet lol) i 've stuck on the back bumper of a vr6 to 110 when we had to brake
imo any rs turbo with 150bhp plus should easily match/beat one.

 

What is the bhp of a VTR / VTS then and thier respective 0-60 / top speeds? Im just curious.

 

1.6 (1587 cc) VTS - DOHC (Double overhead camshaft) 16 valve - 120 bhp - 0-60 in 7.2 seconds - top speed = 127 mph

 

Reasonablly impressive. Better 0-60 on paper than an RST.

i had a saxo vts pull away from me like i was goin backwards a little while back. and i was drivin my 200 brake esc turbo!!!!!!!!!!

same thing happened to my in my 1st turbo. was running around 180hp and gave a VTS a go, left me for dead. Spoke to him further up the road and it had been turbo'd

turbo conversions getting more common on saxo's now

 

i'd expect a well driven f40 will muller an elise to be fair (BRAKING, ACCELERATION, CORNERING GRIP) not the same league in any respect. f40 drivers deserves to be shot with shit!

 

i beat a vts in ma fiesta zetec~s. and i would kill them on the bends aswell. there a bit over rated.

 

VTR maybe but a VTS would nail a Zetec S's balls to the nearest wall mate unless you had some extra trickery on it

 

got to admit vts's aint bad dont hate me guys but i had one for a week my standard rst is quicker not massively but would easily pull away. Ive had plays with plenty and have pulled away easily so if anyone cant your rst needs a serious setup

well, even tho my turbo is near on or just over 200brake, coz of where i live with bendy roads and contry areas a saxo vts would prob beat me. only once we hit hte a12 would i probably eat him for breakfast and wave bye bye

My mates 106 Gti is a nippy little bugger, am i right in saying its the same engine? But he gets pasted by a standard looking white RST quite regularly, still tryin o find out whats in the RST!!

There is a completely standard looking blue vts that goes about here with a turbo conversion though - i'm leaving that alone

 

I dont care if there fast they are so common and looks do nothing for me. Id rather have a 60bhp ford than any french composition...
