You should have blanking plate to replace the exsisting one by the turbo.

Yes you'll have to blank off the original one, by taking the three bolts out, and inserting the blanking ring.

Just get one to fit in replace of the std one!

Lot easier and makes it still look factory!

so does that mean you can place a bailey one where the standard one was and run it to athmosphere instead of running it back into the air trumpet to the turbo ????

No bailey don't make one to fit direct on the turbo but collins do.

bam, not on a small turbo Escort Cosworth, venting to atmosphere causes fuelling problems because it's air that has been measured by the MAF sensor.

You need to use the recirculating dump valve on the ST Escort

I don't know, is your dump valve the recirculating type or one that vents to air?

You cannot use it on the ST Escort then. The air which it releases has been measure by the MAF sensor and if it does't stay 'in the system' then the ecu thinks the engine is getting more air than it actually is and over fuelling occurs. Lots have tried normal dump valves and had poor idling issues because of it. You can only fit a recirculating dump valve such as the Bailey DV30 on your car.
