Ive built a couple of 1.8 ZVH engine in the past...I think they're better than the 2.0ltr imo, being stronger and more revable

A mate of mine runs Megasquirt on his turbo'd Capri...he buys them in kit form and builds them up (cheaper if you know what your doing) and then home mapped it......gotta admit tho, a Capri with a laptop on the passenger seat looks a tad odd lol

No probs m8...reply when ever....he's running late anyhows. Megasquirt does seem a good option especially considering the low cost's involved with it compared with bigger named and priced managment systems.

I was experimenting with the new autotune option to revise the fuel map after a recent cam change. Works brilliantly, only some driving was needed.

After some googling, 210$ seems to be the cheapest for an assembled ecu.

yep and as for the base map there is always people that can help you out
the other key factor is a good wide band air fuel meter especialy with a turbo
i opted for innovate lm1 ,brilliant bit of kit no jumping about etc

I use the Techedge's version.
Btw, if someone ever want maps, settings or even a complete memory dump for somewhere to start tuning from, just ask.

i can give you phone number for the guy i get them off phil ringwood

he actually built the code of squirt and spark extra so he knows what he is talking about

i mapted the car my-self with help from megasquirt forum
all you need is lap top - w/b air fuel meter and a base map
which i can supply

you can also tidy up engine bay and do away with edis unit and run direct coil thats wt i am running same price
basicly you can have your car running from 15-20 wire going to the engine

the loom suplied is all labled to tell you wt goes were and diagrame is on disc suplied
