Default R500 intercooler : Help Peeps

Just got my Pro Alloy RS500 intercooler fitted.

On my old ford intercooler there was the two core outlets and a small one towards the turbo side which went into my dump valve. The dump valve in turn has a small pipe going into an area next to the fuel rail (inlet manifold ? I dunno what its called).

My new intercooler doesnt have the small outlet just the two big cores.

Have i got the correct intercooler (it fits perfect) ?

If so, what am i supposed to do with the dump valve connection ? Can i reconnect it somewhere ?

The guy that fitted it is just a run of the mill mechanic and not to sure where it goes ?

block the vac hose off at the inlet manifold job done... I presume it is simply the std dv.. dont have to have it

If you want it still can get boost hoses with dv takeoffs, to refit it

Not the standard one and i do want to keep it

What is the purpose of having it coming from the inlet ?

Will blocking it off at the inlet not stop the purpose of what ever it is meant to be doing (not very technicall mined lol) ?

By boost hose you mean the one coming from the turbo to air filter ?

There is a takeoff on that that has been blocked.

yeah you can fit the dv in that turbo boost hose no worries.. some have outlets on the inlet boost hoses...

if you are keeping the dv you dont need to block off the vac hose at inlet

I dont actually see it doing anything if it is on the airfilter - to - Turbo hose IMO .. well apart from make a noise

Its ideal if you have recirc dv though I imagine

So on the boost hose the DV wouldnt actually be doing anything ?

Id be better off getting new inlet hose with a dump valve cut off to make sure the dv is actually doing it jobs. Where can i get one of these ?

I wanna know 100% its ok to run it off the boost hose until i get one of them.

Needs to be on the compressed side of the turbo, the air filter to turbo hose is no good for the dump valve,as this is before the turbo

Supposed to be better the nearer to the throttle body you can get it,this is why most people have there dump valve on the 'cold side' of the intercooler,in the hose between the intercooler and the throttle body/inlet manifold

If you look on the pic that Pete has put up above you can see the type of fitting his has,you can fit that type to standard hoses if you want, just cut your hose and clamp in the 'T' piece
