Default Mk2 rs2000 pic & info request

Hi I'm thinking of buying a mk2 rs2000 but i've never driven one. My last car was a 330 bhp sapphire now i wondered how fast a 160 bhp stripped out caged Mk2 anybody got a clue like an estimated 0-60 time or 1/4 mile time? I would also like to see as many as possible mk2 rs pics for inspiration so please post some.

If you have never driven a mk2 the your in for a shock if it a modded one.
I now have 2. The Red one I have had for 17years and it had group one forrest rally suspension on when i got it, a rough and not so easy drive. At the time it put out 110bhp at the wheels, 2.1, high comp, fast road cam, piper full exhaust. It was good fun but not to fast.
The white one is standard but fitted with polly bushes. It drives like a dream not fast at all but not being a rough ride makes up for it.

if i had the choice again .. i would go for a mk2 .. just a shame the good ones are soo expensive
i had a signal green t plate one years ago .. wish i had kept it now .. last i saw of it was a burnt out mess where some complete twat set it alight after it had been left it on the side of the road after the owner ran out of fuel ..
was sooo much fun .. so easy to get the back end out and control it perfectly was a 2.1 with anti dive and 5 linked janspeed exhaust too
oh how i want another

I went from a 360bhp Saph to a standard RS2000, got used to the power, blew it up and then rebuilt it to 170 ish bhp.

Id have the 2000 over the Saph anyday, they are just so much fun

I still really regret selling mine

I forget how many times I've heard 'I wish I had/didn't sell my MK2 RS!' So many regrets. I've kept my OZ RS2 now for 20 years and it is due for a resto soon. The usual rust areas are making a comeback. I'll do the repairs proper this time!

This was mine a fair few years ago now, and indeed i wish i never sold it, it got used in a smash n grab by the nob who bought it off me, the police inpounded it and it got scrapped in the end have regretted it ever since.

It was a 2.1, bvh, weber 45s, fr cam etc, estimated around 150 bhp, and being so light it was a blast. How i miss it.

13x7 are very common but some people fit 13x7.5's to an unarched shell

Hey, get a mk2 rs2000 because they rule. My dads got 1 and that produces about 140bhp and that soon goes. If you do get 1, stick a 4.3 diff but make sure its a limited slip differential. if you are going 4 the racing style, get rid of most of the interior. Go 4 capri laser rims aswel but if you go wider than 7.5 inch i think, you ave 2 stick arches on (group 4). What kind of roll cage are you going 4?? Hope this helps in anyway.

By the way, im only 16!!!!! So sorry if i got some of it wrong
