as a mature student you go off your income instead of your parents, to see how much loan you are intitled to. I did and I get the maximum loan.

Im having a mature student loan mate!! As says it goes of me and not folks etc. Which is good as i cn have as much as i want more or less

So do you still have to be working when you get the loan or is it what you would earn of your new career

I should also say this would be for a Helicopter pilots license wuld that make a difference ?

Don't know if the Govt student loans will cover that much mate.

Unfortunatly HSBC who were very good at Career Development loans nolonger cover Proffesional Pilot studies, you may be able to get Ł25k through them though. OK if you have some savings, but ATPL(H) is about twice that if I recall correctly.
