no they dont effect the offset. all you have to is tap a 12mm thread in the top hole on the hub! piece of piss to fit!

They are easier because yeah, they go straight on, but using RST calipers have a bigger braking surface area

What do you need Ebay for?

£50 for brackets and bolts from Rainbow

and

£100 tops for VERY good 2wd Discs. I recommend Pagid 8 Groove

The calipers are the same size and take the same pads, but the piston on an RST is bigger.

It is something you can always add later...

Has the car got ABS? If so, rip that crap out and the brakes will be loads better anyway.

I am quickly running out of helpful replies. Soon I will have to go back to making silly sarcastic replies like I usually do. I have been faaaar too helpful this morning. I must have got up out of the right side of the bed

It's something to do with the angle. Can't remember now exactly. YEARS ago there was a section on the turbosport site that Clint wrote comparing various brake options for an RST. It showed that using RST calipers with 2wd discs gave a better braking percentage than using 4x4 calipers and 2wd discs.

What pads would you use for the 2wd discs, RST ones or 2wd ones? And what are the best? Cheers

For what brake set- up?

If you are using RST calipers, then you use an RST pad. If you are using 2wd calipers, then you use 2wd pads...

I found there was a big difference.

I should stress though that there is no point in fitting bigger discs to an RST if you still have ABS. Get rid of that first.
