It's something to do with the angle. Can't remember now exactly. YEARS ago there was a section on the turbosport site that Clint wrote comparing various brake options for an RST. It showed that using RST calipers with 2wd discs gave a better braking percentage than using 4x4 calipers and 2wd discs.
