On the way back from the Beds meet i thought i must have blown a hose off again but nope this is what the culprit is



Has anyone ever had this happen as its a new one on me

 

i had it happen when i had my t4 m8 fookin truck turbos i just welded it back on and it was mint

 

that will teach ya for showing off...lol

Very common.
Often caused by surge trying to open and close the gate at the same time.. roflol

I don't have surge anymore Stu its sorted after i took Kennys advice
Actualy thinking about it i don't have any boost at all atm

 

how did you sort the surge spadge?

Was Kenny's advice to snap the wastegate arm off?

 

Easy mate i removed the leaky amal valve that was causing my over boost (circa 2.4 bar ) and replaced it with something (top secret ) lowered the boost back to 2 bar where it should have been and job done no surge

how comes this wasn't picked up before then? You only recently had a live map didn't ya?

 

It must have started leaking after it was mapped Ricky as it was peaking at 2bar for a while afterwards
