Default What is the benefit of having a trimmed compressor wheel?

I have a stage 2 turbo and am wanting it to be less laggy. Obviously with it being a bigger Turbo it will be more laggy than the original but is thee any way of reducing this its driving me crackers. I am also getting pinking when running above 15psi so I want to get it rolling roaded and increase the fuelling slightly but I want to get any other bits I need done first so I don;t have to keep shelling out on getting it setup.

Cheers
Dave

You really sure its that laggy? Or has someone just told you that it is? An S2 with a Stage 2 Turbo isnt very laggy. Maybe there is something wrong.

Who has been setting it up?

Its more likely to be a problem with how the car is setup mate! Timing on the CVH engine is critical so its probaly down to this not being set quite right and fueling. Take it to a recommended tuner and go from there.

I've turned the boost down to stop the detonation as soon as it started to do it to stop me melting my engine bin there done that

Gonna take the car to motorsport developments to get it set up right.

It is really laggy compared to standard and the car doesn't seem to take off until you hit over 10psi. Could the compressor wheel not be matched correctly. The intake is off a 4x4 cosworth with cosworth compressor wheel?
