Hi people,

I started my car for the first time yesterday since the new engine and the P8 management was fitted.

Car started first flick of the switch which was great.

But it was running a bit rough and very rich on idle.

I've sat here racking my brain and i can only think of a few things it could be.

I realised i left the hose of the MAP sensor (so on idle the misture would have been rich ~ I assume)

Also the header tank was really swolen (brand new ford item) and looked ready to burst, is this normal or was there to much pressure in there (blown head gasket)?
It also has a new cap on it so i would assume it would release excess pressure??

The engine is all new from burton power. Its a 2.1ZVH and uses the Felpro gasket.
If it is the gasket what other gaskets are avaliable for this engine?

Who mapped it??

 

It has a MAP created by PTS of Luton for an identical engine.

As i have only just got the car running it has not been fully mapped to my car.
