oil dipstick pos??

Default oil dipstick pos??

I've just got a chance to check me oil, and tbh it was gettind close to min so good job
My engine has a 2.0litre zetec bottom end- with receipts to that effect and it deffo has a zetec sump- any ideas why my oil dipstick is at the back of the engine?? should it not be at the front being a zetec an all??
confused the hell outta me lol
oh and is 5w 40 fully synthetic okay for the engine?

zvh's should always have dipstick at the front i thought...

i'll try and get a piccy up- baffled me, i gotta sort her out again though i think i've got an air leak the poor girl hardly runs at the mo, well i say that but she idles fine but won't rev- bludy wierd engine i got ere

Are u sure u have a Zetec?

My engine is a bored out 1800 sierra CVH with zetec pistons and sump and 1600 RST head. If your dipstick is somewhere to the back right of your engine maybe u have this too?.

on the receipt for the wrk it says its a 2litre mondeo engine thats been bored out to accept the cvh head with modified pistons,
So i'm pretty sure its a zetec bottom end from a mondeo and the dipstick is at the back
it wrks fine aswell (monitoring oil level) could the zetec bottom end be modded to accept it at the back or are there versions of the zetec that have it at the back?

doesn't sound right tbh mate, never seen a zvh with dipstick at the back.

get pics up ppl will be able to tell you straight away

okay, i havn't managd to take any pics as i'm busy doing other stuff on the car but...
i've checked through the wrk done on the engine and it seems as if the've used a zetec sump and 2litre pistons but bored out the block to accept the pistons hence kind being a ZVH but with the dipstick at the back.
does this sound feasable and something thats done to the rst lump?
it also says it gives an overall capacity of 1798cc
