Do you have a Cambelt covers on your car.
The reason i ask is because mine has broken and im not sure whether to buy a new one for it or not.
What are the dangers of not having one?

yeah ive got a kent vernier on mine too but you can't really see it even without a cover on.
i think i am going to try and put it back on, one of the plastic bolt threads has snapped off so im gonna see if it will super glue on otherwise i will get another one.
also don't like the idea of fucking my valves

Yes I do,i would feel like a real fool if I fucked up 8 valve's because I was too lazy/stupid to refit my cambelt cover.I too had too superglue the bit at the back of my cover that the bolt goes thru like Dave y mentioned above. It worked out fine using superglue.Regards Micky
like they say its best to have it on, but its worse to have the bottom one on and not the top.. if you have the one at the bottom its gonna work like a bucket for containing all the crap that gets into the engine bay.. nothing like a clear or polished one..
I havent got one on but will back on soon but only because i dropped my header tank cap when it was running and it got chewed up and snapped the alternator belt
Thank foof it didnt take cambelt out too

You should check out the cambelt cover Fusion Fabrication make. It has a cutout so you can actually see the vernier pulley
